Karwar : Rotarian Narendra Bala Desai has been installed as the President of Rotary Club of Karwar at the august hands of District Governor Elect Rotarian Venkatesh Deshpande here on Saturday.
After administering oath of office to Rtn. Desai, Rtn. Deshpande expressed his happiness over the Rotary Club of Karwar for their generous approach in community service. He said that he has been observing the progress of Karwar Club and he acclaimed that it is one of the vibrant clubs of District 3170. The club has elected Rtn. Narendra Desai as president for the Rotary year 2021-2022 and he is confident that under his president ship under privileged people of the community will be served to fulfill the Rotary Theme for the year 2021-22 “Serve to Change Lives”., Deshpande added. He has also explained ethics and values of Rotary.
The Assistant Governor Rotarian Chandrshekharn released the Rotary Theme for the year 2021-22 and released Rotary Monthly Magazine “Spark”.
While addressing the gathering after taking oath as President Rtn Narendra Desai assured that he will work for the community during his tenure. Further he said that he has envisaged several programmes such as Garib Kalyan Yojana” under which he has planned to distribute food kits to 500 under privileged families of the society and also repair houses of under privileged families which were which were damaged during recent cyclone and floods, he added.
The outgoing Club President Rotarian Sunil Soni while speaking on the occasion expressed his fullest satisfaction over his service for the community as well as creating family atmosphere in the club. The Secretary for the year 2020-21 Rotarian Ganapati Baadkar presented the Report.Secretary Rotarian Mohan L Naik extended vote of thanks. Rotarians L S Fernandes and Yogesh Bhandarkar have directed the programme. Master Prajwal Padwalkar recited prayer.
