Karwar : The Past Rotary District Governor Rotarian Dr. Jorson Fernandes administered oath of office to the newly elected President of Rotary Club of Karwar Paschim Rotarian Aravind Nayak, Secretary – Dolreich Fernandes, Office bearers and Directors of the Board for the Rotary Year 2023-2024 at Hotel Eden here on Wednesday.
Speaking after installation of the new team Dr. Jorson said that “Helping the underprivileged” in the society is the main motto of Rotary Organisation. Rotary launched Polio Immunization campaign in 1985 and was a founding member of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988. Through decades of commitment and work by Rotary and our partners, more than 2.5 billion children have received the oral polio vaccine, he added.
The District Governor’s Special Representative Rotarian Vasant Rao of RC Kumta conveyed special greetings from the District Governor to the new team.
The outgoing President Rotarian Prakash Revankar welcomed the gathering and greeted the new team. The outgoing Secreaty Pallavi D’Souza presented the Secretary’s Report.
Secretaty Rotarian Dolreich Fernandes proposed vote of thanks and Rotarian Nitin Desai compered the programme.
