Fish culture Pond constructed on Karwar Beach and abandoned

Karwar : A huge “Fish culture Pond” like structure has been constructed on Karwar Beach on the entrance of the City.
This is the same spot where the Port Department had started work of Brakewater as a part of ‘SagarMala’ project. But, the people of Karwar and fishermen agitatated and took the case to Supreme Court. Supreme Court granted stay until final judgement.
But, sudden construction of a Pond on the disputed site has given scope for
speculation among public.
People ask for clarification from the concerned departments about the construction.
