Karwar : Fisheries, Ports and Inland Water Transport and District In-charge Minister Mankal S Vaidya held district level Janata Darshan program at Sagar Darshan Hall here on Friday. More than 175 petitions were received from the public.
Petitions were received in connection with non-receipt of amount against 5 Kg. additional rice under Anna Bhagya Scheme and non-receipt of Rs.2000/- under Graha Lakshmi scheme.
Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Mankar in her introductory speech said that the petitions received in the Janata Darshan will be attended on top priority and the action taken will be informed to the petitioners.
Sirsi MLA Bhimanna T. Naik said that the officials should work honestly to deliver the benefits of all the government programmes and schemes. He also requested the District In-charge Minister to hold Janata Darshan in Srisi also.
MLA Satish Sail, who presided over the program, spoke about starting new industries in the district to provide employment to the youths. Regarding establishing super specialty hospital in the district, plan and estimate has been prepared and it will be tabled in the winter session of the assembly which is scheduled in Belagavi.
