MLA Satish Sail stops Toll collection IRB submits “Fitness Certificate” of Consultant starts collection

Karwar : Retaliating the rude behaviour of IRB officials, MLA Satish Sail forcibly stopped collecting toll at the Hattikeri Toll Plaza near Ankola on Tuesday. But, IRB restarted toll collection by submitting “Fitness Certificate” issued by a consultant.
Last Saturday IRB officials have been instructed in the meeting held at Deputy Commissioner’s office, presided over by the District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya and in the presence of Karwar-Ankola MLA Satish Sail to stop collecting toll at Belekeri and other toll plazas on NH-66 untill they issue ‘Fitness Certificate” for using the road and tunnels on the Highway.
On Tuesday, Satish Sail and congress workers staged dharna in front of Hattikeri Plaze urging IRB authorities to stop toll collection until “Fitness Cetificate” is issued. But, IRB understood to have started toll collection from Tuesday Midnight stating to have submitted the Certificate.
