Karwar : A Philanthropist and President of Kallur Education Trust, Karwar, P.M.J.F. Lion Ibrahim Kallur and the members of the Trust met the Primary & Secondary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa at his residence in Bengaluru recently and emphasized the need for direct recruitment in government jobs for the students studying in Kannada Medium schools.
In response to Kallur’s suggestion, Madhu Bangarappa appreciated the thought and said that for direct recruitment in government jobs for Kannada Medium schools, a Bill has to be passed in the assembly. However, he was positive and said that the government is thinking about improving standard of education in Kannada Medium government schools. The members of the Trust ,Vitthal Nayak, Laxmipathi and Arun were present.
Bangarappa also informed in a Press briefing recently that the government will soon form a committee with representatives from school education and higher education departments to come up with the state’s own education policy. He also said that the committee will come up with a policy to counter the “political” baggage that comes with the Centre’s National Education Policy (2020).
