Karwar : MLA Satish Sail said that 73 Acres and 6 Gunthas of land already identified for land acquisition by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board in Mudageri Industrial Area, compensation for 170 families of these lands will be carried out as soon as possible.
He was presiding over a meeting held at the Taluka Panchayat Hall here on Tuesday. At present, notice has been issued to 170 people who have given land for which all necessary steps are being taken to give compensation to them them ar the rate of Rs.50 lakh per Acre, in this regard, a meeting will be held in Mudageri in the next 15 days in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, he added.
The rules required to get compensation for the victims have been simplified, the beneficiaries can contact the authorities directly and get the compensation amount without being cheated by any agents. Submit the the necessary documents to the authorities and get the compensation, he added.
The compensation amount will be deposited directly into the joint accounts of the affected family members in the bank, and the authorities will provide all kinds of assistance to prepare the necessary documents to get the compensation amount.
Special Land Acquisition Officer Naveen, Executive Engineer BT Patil, Joint Director Industries Department Jayant, Tahsildar Nishchal Naronha, Taluka Panchayat Executive Officer Anand Kumar Balappanavar were present in the meeting.
