Karwar : Rotary Club of Karwar felicitated Doctors of Karwar Medical College who have toiled in COVID wards during both first and second wave on the eve of “National Doctors’ Day” on Thursday July 1st.
A function has been arranged in the Auditorium of Karwar Medical College where 16 Doctors have been felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion the Director and Dean of Karwar Medical College Dr. Gajanan Nayak thanked Rotary Club for arranging the felicitation programme of Doctors in college premises taking health risk.
The President of Rotary Club of Karwar Rotarian Narendra Desai said that during Corona Pandemic the doctors have served the patients without caring for their life, for which our Rotary Club of Karwar is felicitating those doctors. Desai says ”Doctors are the living gods on earth and we are fortunate to recognize their services and felicitate them today”.
The Medical Superintendent Dr. Shivanand Kudtalkar speaking on the occasion said that Doctors are serving day and night without expecting any appreciations. But, when organizations like Rotary, recognise them, general public will come to know about their service.
The Chief Administrative Officer of the Medical College Apeksha Pawar spoke on the occasion. Doctor/s. Shreenivas, K Prashant, Kiran Kumar, Roshan Naik, Prasanna, Nischit K N, Raju Talawar, G K Ganesh, Vijayraj, Ramesh Venkimane, Yuvaraj Kumar, Girish Bhute, Bharat Lakshman Shet, Kalavathy G P, Shruthi, Anupama S Nayak have been felicitated.
Innerwheel President Ms. Neha Desai and members felilcitated lady Doctors. Vocational Service Director Rotarian Maruti P Kamath gave an introductory Note on “National Doctors’ Day”. Secretary Rotarian Mohan Naik gave vote of thanks. Moderator of the programme Club Service Director Rotarian L S Fernandis organized systematically.
