All Civil construction work will be stopped from March 10 if Sand is not supplied

Karwar :A delegation of Civil Contractors led by their President Madhav Naik and Sand Extractors led by their President Digambar Shet met the Deputy Commissioner Prabhuling Kavalikatti on Friday and appealed to him to intervene and make arrangements for supplying Sand for construction activities.
The delegation further informed the DC that if sand is not made available by March 10, all the government civil works will be stopped. The delegation has also alleged that illegal sand is sent to Goa and if a genuine sand extractor from Kali River is requesting the concerned government authorities, they take legal action against them or they send police force for arresting them.
After hearing to the delegation, DC Kavalikatti assured to do the needful.
