Canara Bank celebrates International Women’s Day

Karwar : International Women’s Day has been celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Regional Office of Canara Bank here on Wednesday.
All the staff members of Regional Office and Branch celebrated the International Women’s Day by cutting a Cake.
The Regional Manager of the Bank Nandkishore Kaskar greeted all the Women and staff on this occasion. Mrs. Kaskar and childen also took part in the celebrations.
DM Lakshmi Ramanath and other officials spoke on the occasion.

Each year, March 8 is observed as International Women’s Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women from all around the world. The day also focuses on a call to action for accelerating gender parity and setting agendas and goals in achieving these targets.
The theme for this year’s Women’s Day, according to the United Nations, is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality” and it aims to emphasise the importance of technology in bringing gender issues to light.
