Canacona, Goa : In a delightful ceremony organised at Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt near here has presented Awards to the persons for their exemplary service to the society and in recognition of their dedicated service towards Shree Guru, Mutt and Community at large in the Holy presence of Srimad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji on Thursday.
The President of the Central Mutt Committee Shrinivas V S Dempo welcomed the gathering. He said that on the eve of 548th Anniversary of the Foundation day of Partagali Jeevottam Mutt Awards were presented.
After presenting the Awards Srimad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji delivered “Ashirvachan” and said that the Awards are given by the ‘Muth’ and ‘Peetha’ since time immemorial in recognition for their exemplary service to the society and community at large. It is also a motivation to promote the service in future also. The Muth and also the community is supporting for their cause. The service rendered in the field of Education, Social or providing financial help to the underprivileged and needy is recognised and this has to be promoted in many folds in future. “Whatever the service you have made towards the Guru, Muth and Community, we have recognised and in future, it has to be extended in many folds” Swamiji said. Swamiji has also admired the service caterd by ‘Purohits’ ‘Priests’ which they give without expecting any monitory benefit and the legacy has to be continued in future years also, Swamiji added.
Shree Saunsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math Committee Vice President R. R. Kamat and Shivanand Salgaonkar were present.
“Shree Vidyadhiraj Award” for the year 2022 has been presented to Dr. M Jagannath Shenoi, Mysuru, who has provided employment to hundreds of youths directly or indirectly in his enterprise or in associated ventures. The Award carries a citation, a memento in the form of a replica of the ancient ‘Vatavriksha’ (Banyan Tree) at Parthgali and Rs.75,000/- in cash.
“Shree Jeevottam Award” has been presented to Adv. Prakash Srirang Prabhudesai, Goa, a proficient Advocate and a Social Worker. He gives services without any monetary rewards to many religious and charitable bodies. He is serving as a Trustee of Shree Sadhana Seva Pratishthan Trust which runs an Old Age Home named ‘Sharadashray’ at Margao.
Another recipient of “Shree Jeevottam Award” was Sri. Mahesh Sundar Nayak, Yellapur who has been associating in various social and educational activities. He is a member of Managing Committee of YTSS Junior College.
The Award comprising of South facing idol of Shree Hanuman, Citation and cash award of Rs.50,000/-. Wives of the Awardees have also been recognised.
“Shree Purushottam Award” has been presented to Vedamoorty Anant Purushottam Bhat, Berolli, Vedamoorty Varadraj Anand Bhat, Kumta amd Vedamoorty Balakrishna Laxminarayan Bhat, Kundapur.
