Karwar : The tenure of Lok Sabha is scheduled to end on 16 June 2024. The previous general elections were held in April–May 2019. After the election, National Democratic Alliance, led by Bharatiya Janata Party, formed the union government, with Narendra Modi continuing as the Prime Minister.
All the political parties have started finding their candidates for the general elections.
In Uttara Kannada district the Six-time Lok Sabha member Anantkumar Hegde, according to BJP party sources, is not showing interest in contesting elections due to minor health issues. Since he is having close contacts with the RSS supremos, he has been asked to wait for the final dicisions.
In the meanwhile the Sangh Parivar has understood to have chose an alternative firebranch candidate Chakravary Sulibele.
Chakravarty Sulibele is an Indian writer who predominantly writes in the Kannada and Hindi languages. He is an Engineer who later founded Yuva Brigade and Sodari Nivedita Pratishtana youth organisations.
Now, recently Sulibele was in limelight when he compared the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the newly elected congress government as “Hitler Government”. BJP insiders say that Sulibele is not in good books of the party due to his over “Firebrand” attitude.
