Karwar : Staff and residents of Amadalli village bid a memorabe Farewell to the Accommodation Officer of Naval Civilian Housing Colony, Amadalli, C K Prakash, Rank JTO, Officer-in-Charge, (NCHC, Amdalli), Unit NSRY (Kar) recently.
The programme was organised under the presidentship of the member of Amandalli Gram Panchayat Devanand Lokappa Chendekar at Naval Civilian Housing Colony. Other officials of NCHC Virendra Kumar, Rank Foremen (Gaz), Designation : Deputy Officer-in-Charge (NCHC, Amdalli), Unit NSRY (Kar) and Name : Gururaj S Kalloli , Rank : Chargeman, Designation : Section-in-Charge (NCHC, Amdalli), Unit NSRY (Kar) were present. The contractors and casual labourers were also present at the Farewell function.
C K Prakash speaking on the occasion said that since he first took charge as the Accommodation officer at NCHC in 2014, the member of Amadalli Gram Panchayat Devanand Chendekar has been helping the officials for support from the Gram Panchayat. He also said that during the initial stages when they could not pay salaries to the casual labourers, Chendekar has paid their salary for almost one year.
Devanand Chendekar speaking on the occasion said that he was very proud to say that since the inception of Project Seabird in 1988, he has been doing contract work for Naval Base. He further said that he has been providing work to the Navel Base affeced families for their livelihood. He thanked Prakash for helping the people of Amadalli and labourers.
