Karwar : A new passenger Retiring Room at Karwar railway station has been inaugurated by B.B. Nikam, Regional Manager of Konkan Railway here on Friday.
These Railway retiring rooms have been set up at the Karwar Railway Station for accommodation of advance ticketed passengers, who can book the rooms directly or online for 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 36 and 48 hours, Nikam said.
Retiring Rooms are available at Udupi, Madagaum and Thivim railway stations on the Konkan Railway route and now retiring room has been set up at Karwar railway station, he added.
Senior Traffic and Commercial Manager Ganesh Samant, Assistant Manager G.D. Meena, Railway Station Officer Uday Sarang and others were present.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) provides accommodation of retiring rooms on behalf of Indian Railways at all major railway stations across India.
