Karwar : Local SeaBird officials believed to have assured District Administraton and Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) that if KIADB develops plots then Seabird officials will bring Industrialist.
While addressing a Press meet recently the former DC Dr. Harish Kumar informed that local Seabird officials have initiated this proposal of developing 73 Acres of land in Mudgeri Area. But, KIADB informed that for developing 73 Acres of land Rs.13 Crores is required, for which the the Seabird officials believed to have given in writing that they will bring Industrialists from outside.
The locals express their doubt about Seabird’s assurance since there is no mention about any MOU signed between the Ministry of Defence and the Karnataka State Government. They say that it is a backdoor entry of Seabird to engulf the entire land of 210 acres.
