Representatives of different Organisations speak on Development of Uttara Kannada District

MLA Roopali Naik inaugurating the Sympsium. MLA Dinakar Shetty,

Karwar : Representatives of differenct organisations from the district participated in a Symposium organized by a state level news paper Vijaya Karnatka here recently.
Speaking on the occasion the MLA Roopali S. Naik louded the effort made by Vijay Karnataka to get the feed back from the public for development of Uttara Kannada District.
MLA from Kumta Dinakar Shetty also participated in the Symposium and requested all the participants to contribute their views for development of the district.
ZP CEO Priyanga M speaking on the occasion suggested a few points in development of Uttara Kannada District.
The Lead District Manager Peersab Pinjar has suggested several points advising Self Help Groups not to confine to only “Revolving Credit” but go for starting Home Industries for which Banks are financing on concessional interest rate. Speakers’ Views :

Promoting District Youths to take Hotel Industries and Tourism related Industries, Ambulance for Each ZP Member Area (for 2 to 3 Gps), Development of Shejwad Shiv Temple, relaxing Sand Mining, Concrete Drinking Water Facility to Karwar City, e-Swathu exemption to the District.
Kumta MLA Dinkar Shetty : Tourism Development in the District concentrating places like Yana, Gokarna etc.,Water Ferry form Karwar to Mangalore to improve tourism (with Stoppages in Ankola, Kumta, Gokarna, Murdeshwar and Bhatkal), Concrete Drinking Water Facility to all the villages by proper use of river resources.
CEO Priyanga M : Under NAREGA connecting all villages by Road, Toilets to all the Schools, Sports related Stadiums and Developments, Drinking Water Projects for all villages under Jal Jivan Mission.
LDM P M Pinjar: Self Help Groups to be trained in starting Home Industries, Hotels should come out with Tour Package alongwith Room Rents, SHGs should be permitted in Railway Stations to sell their products, conduct training in Eco Tourism and Agri Tourism.
Jagadish Birkodikar : Under MUDRA scheme Banks are harrassing borrowers by asking them to bring Deposits or Collateral Securities, The waste water flowing from Nagajari Power House may be utilised for supplying drinking water to Karwar. Since the Nagajhari Power house is situated 1800 ft above sea level it will be very easy to draw water to Karwar through gravitatinal force.
Madhav Naik : The status of Border district should be given to Uttara Kannada district as it has been given to Mumbai Karnataka and Hyderabad Karnataka. If this status is given government will announce developmental package and development will take place automatically, Recruitments in Sea Bird, Kaiga and Konkan Railway, Clear-cut guidelines for Sand, Jelly and Murrum sale and mining, Developments through Karnataka Border Area Development Authority.
