Over 1.5 lakh Government College students in Karnataka get smart tabs

Karwar : MLA Roopali Naik distributed Tablet PCs to PUC first year college students and polytechnic college students here recently. In a simple function conducted in Arts and Science college, Tablet PCs have been distributed to PUC first year college students under the initiative of Learning Management System (LMS). As part of the initiative, tablet PCs will be distributed to about 1.55 lakh students of government colleges. The higher education department also hopes to conver 2,500 classrooms in colleges into smart classes and developing a unique Learning Management System (LMS) that will facilitate online and offline classes.
Principal of the college Dr. V M Giri, Member of the College Management Committee Rajesh Nayak, CMC President Dr. Nitin Pikle , lecturers and staff were present.
