MLA Roopali Naik inspects Liquid Oxygen filling

Karwar : MLA Roopali Naik visited Karwar Medical College to inspect the Liquid Oxygen Gas filling in the newly installed Medical Oxygen storage tank here recently.
After installing the storage tank during May, this is the first time 6 Kilo Liters of Liquid Oxygen Gas has been filled.
This supply was from “Linde” a leading global industrial gases and engineering company and the container has been sent from Bahrain at the special request of PM Narendra Modi, Roopali said.
“Linde” company says through their Website that their company was firmly committed to supporting its customers and communities during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. It further says that through Linde’s Global Giving Program and their businesses around the world, the company has donated more than $1.8MM in cash and in-kind gifts to provide relief for hospitals, healthcare facilities and affected communities.
In addition, Linde is prioritizing the supply of oxygen and essential medical gases in order to support hospitals, doctors, nurses and medical professionals as they care for patients with COVID-19. They are increasing the amount of oxygen production at air separation units, where needed, and are working very closely with local healthcare providers to anticipate demand and increase deliveries, the portal added. Roopali opined that in future there will not be any scarcity of Medical Oxygen for treating COVID patients. She also inspected the Oxygen pipeline system.
She inspected the site of the proposed 450 Bedded Super Specialty Hospital for which CM B S Yediyurappa will lay foundation stone.
The Director of Karwar Medical College Dr. Gajanan Nayak, District Surgeon Dr. Shivanand Kudtalkar and other medical officials were present.
