Karwar : COVID-19 Vaccination will be started in all PHCs from 8th March, DC Mullai Muhilan M P informed in a Press Meet on Friday.
The Phase-III is scheduled for Senior Citizens which has been kick-started from 1st March. Senior citizens and those above 45 years with comorbidities are eligible for receiving Vaccine, he added.
Asha workers have been instructed to identify persons above 60 years in their village area and motivate them to take the 1st Dose of Vaccine in the respective PHCs. NGOs, Rotary and Lion Clubs also will be requested to motivate senior citizens to take vaccine.
DHO Dr. Sharad Nayak and RCH Dr. Ramesh Rao were present at the Press Meet.
